Volunteers in Action

Volunteers helping to load and recover a broken-down powerchair

Volunteers are the life-blood of the Disabled Ramblers. On rambles they open gates, police road crossings, help get scooters through difficult sections and generally reassure & encourage ramblers.

Behind the scenes they deliver the MSU (Mobile Support Unit) with our loan scooters and Mobile Accessible Toilet to the rambles – and get everything ready for the next ramble too!

Then there are all the Committee Members working away to keep the whole thing alive, while out in the Regions our Reps are running local rambles and checking out new routes

So many jobs, so few Volunteers!  We thank them all for their invaluable help Рand ask for more helpers. If you, or someone you know, would like to offer to help us, please get in touch with Val at secretary@disabledramblers.co.uk
