“After being incarcerated by the snow for 4 days I decided to brave the cold and snow and take my TGA scooter, who is called “Dora the Explorer”, out into the New Forest near my home. We had a super time, the tracks were still coated with ice and the scenery was lovely, although starting to thaw a bit. It was a treat to be out; these are two photos of some of the views.

Dora and I returned home having had a really refreshing time and seeing the New Forest in a different light, we probably did about 4/5 miles. Dora coped admirably with the ice, thanks to my chunky cross country tyres.

Then the same week after the thaw we went out again, this time into the flooded forest! I have never seen it so wet, and the bridge in the picture usually straddles a tiny puddle of a stream, but this was much more exciting! This time I did about 7 miles, through one of the Forestry Commission campsites which is usually full of tents and caravans, now all under water. Great fun!!!”

Great to hear further confirmation that the TGA Supersport can match Trampers in difficult conditions. Have you seen our 2013 program? We have several rambles in the New Forest in July & September so hope you can come & enjoy group rambles. Good security in a group & confidence of support to get back to your car in a crisis ( e.g. low battery, over heating etc ) . We’re always looking for suggestions on new ramble routes so do let us know if you’ve got some good ideas. NB In cold weather we do need extra clothing especially in windy conditions when failure to retain body heat can be dangerous.
