Great to see so many members with their buggies on such an occasion, some of whom had travelled more than 100 miles to show their respect & appreciation for all Mike’s contribution. Mike would have enjoyed this ramble on his home turf & all of us now understand where he honed his scooter skills. The going was always interesting with enough to keep us focussed but easy enough to allow us time to enjoy the wonderful scenery. Thanks to John C who produced so many photos to remind us of Mike’s countryside but we also owe so much to Mike’s daughters, George & Claire. who helped organize the day & round it off with such a generous tea afterwards. The possibility of a return next year is tantalising although it will be hard to match the success of this gathering.

Photos are spot on, really brings the spirit of the day back. Very enjoyable in spite of the rain. The scenery round Lambourn is so lovely and to be on the Ridgeway after hearing so much about it was very special. Hope we can go back!
