Northern Tour Underway

    Hamsterley Forest, County Durham

Well, here we are in County Durham having spent a splendid day in Hamsterly Forest. 4 miles of steady up hill in the morning in mist were rewarded with (rather limited) views over moorland bordering the forest. After lunch it was all downhill with a very ‘interesting’ section as you might see from the photos.

Robin spent yesterday checking out this ramble and tomorrow’s at Baldersdale – two rambles in a day! Due to the rain he has had to modify them both, not least due to a washed-away bridge in Baldersdale.
