“After being incarcerated by the snow for 4 days I decided to brave the cold and snow and take my TGA scooter, who is called “Dora the Explorer”, out into the New Forest near my home. We had a super time, the tracks were still coated with ice and the scenery was lovely, although starting to thaw a bit. It was a treat to be out; these are two photos of some of the views.

Dora and I returned home having had a really refreshing time and seeing the New Forest in a different light, we probably did about 4/5 miles. Dora coped admirably with the ice, thanks to my chunky cross country tyres.

Then the same week after the thaw we went out again, this time into the flooded forest! I have never seen it so wet, and the bridge in the picture usually straddles a tiny puddle of a stream, but this was much more exciting! This time I did about 7 miles, through one of the Forestry Commission campsites which is usually full of tents and caravans, now all under water. Great fun!!!”

Val
