Snowdonia Regional Ramble

    Llanberis Pass, DR ramble 2008
    Llanberis Pass, DR ramble 2008

Our North Wales Regional Rep, Terry Taylor, is running a 6 mile, Cat 2 ramble on Wednesday 31st July on the hills above Llanberis.  To book your place and get directions please contact Terry at:  theterrytaylor@yahoo.co.uk

Regional Rambles are free (unless specified by the Regional Rep) but there are no loan scooters, toilet facilities or rescue trailer.

    Terry says:

This regional ramble, the first in the North Wales area,is a completely new one for the DR, as there will be absolutely no technical difficulty at all, but there will be views to die for, particularly if the sun shines on us.
We will be on a closed man-made road the whole way, amongst amazing scenery, with possible views of Ireland and the Lake District on the rare exceptional day, plus a beautiful lake. Bring your cameras, this could be one of them!

The road is steep at times, with big drops, in very spectacular situations indeed. Our final height will be at 2,162 ft above sea level, looking down on the Llanberis Pass.

Best of all though, even those with the smaller Class 2 scooters, can join us here, in complete safety, as there will be a rescue service available on the day, for scooters and drivers, thanks very much to various kind persons.
Distance: 6.3 miles, though it can be easily be shortened, if battery problems arise. Cat. 1+/2, due to the height gain.
