Val is running a regional ramble on Easter Monday 21st April at
FARLEY MOUNT & BLUEBELL WOOD, nr Hursley, WINCHESTER
Cat 2+, 6.5 miles
This is a varied ramble, along the Clarendon Way in parts, with superb landscape views over central Hampshire from Farley Mount, the interesting monument at Beacon Hill, nr Hursley, Winchester, Hants, It is a large area of beautiful downland and woodland ideal for walking and picnicking, we then go into Parnholt Wood to see carpets of bluebells with all the other accompanying spring flowers. From there we go through tracks between fields and through Farley Farm to Farley Chamberlayne to see the historic 12th century St John’s church in the hamlet.
