DISABLED RAMBLERS – SOUTHERN REGIONAL RAMBLES
AUTUMN COLOURS AT WISLEY GARDENS, WOKING, SURREY. – Monday 17th November 2014.
This is a chance to meet our venerable Regional Rep for Warwickshire, Eileen Scannell!
Eileen and I are meeting up at Wisley and decided to make it a Southern Regional Ramble too so we would be pleased to see all who can come and the colours should be well worth seeing. There are good facilities, cafes, loos etc. Possibility of a meal at the end of the day and before the homeward trek at the nearby Anchor pub at Pyrford Lock, Wisley, GU23 6QW. CAT 1, so should be fine for smaller scooters. Approx 4/5 miles. Meet 10.00a.m for 10.30am start. For non members of the RHS entry is £12.20 with Gift Aid or £11.00 without. £10.00 pp for group over 10. (last year we all got in for nothing in the end, but can’t promise that again). Wisley open until 6pm. Parking: Wisley have confirmed that, as last time, it is a good idea for us to use the coach park, so follow the signs for Coaches, there is plenty of room in this park.
Directions: The garden lies between Cobham and Ripley in Surrey, off the main London to Portsmouth road (A3) south of Junction 10 of the M25. Follow the brown tourist flower signs on the A3 and M25 to RHS Garden. Car parking is free. Address: Wisley Lane, Wisley, Woking, Surrey, GU23 6QB.
