Remembering Steve

    P1030808 (1280x960)

Team Higgi and others spent the 8th Dec, the 3rd anniversary of Steve Higgins’ death, rambling in Windsor Great Park where Steve went on his first DR outing ten years ago.

The weather was brilliant and (now and then) warm – and Steve would have approved of the ramble and the menu … pork pies, liquorice allsorts, home-made shortbread and just a little sloe gin. As we’ll not meet again for a while we added mince pies and christmas crackers.

One rider was told off by a park keeper for scooting off-piste while a second (equally guilty) lurked in the background looking dignified and aloof. The third rider was entirely innocent. We expect nothing else.

Lovely ramble. Huge thanks to Jim and Dorothy for reccying it in the rain last week – and to “pirate” Sue R for suggesting it in the first place.

PS: Sue’s eye patch was out of her christmas cracker. It went with the trade mark skull and cross bones flag
