It is with sadness that I have to tell you that Marion died very peacefully on September 23 2022, her daughter Lucy & husband Kim were with her.
Marion Heaton was a member of DR for many years and usually went on 2 or 3 rambles a year but the pandemic then got in the way.
Marion had MS for about 20 years hence why she joined DR and enjoyed the rambles and making friends. During 2022 Marion’s health declined and in August she was diagnosed with abdominal terminal cancer. Marion was then discharged from hospital to home where she wanted to be and died about 2 weeks later. Kim Pendray (husband)
Liz and I enjoyed several rambles with Marion and her husband, Kim, in Derbyshire where she was our Regional Rep. Our condolences to Kim. We will miss her. John
So sad to hear about Marion’s passing. I have so many memories of us being on rambles together and once staying in Marion an Kim’s home on the way to rambles in the Peak district. My thoughts are with Kim and all her family. Sue Geary
