Nomi Adler

    18th October 2022

It is with great sadness that I must tell you that our dear friend Nomi Adler passed away on October 18th 2022. I’m sorry to deliver the news in this way.

She was active in the Disabled Ramblers for a long period of time, although her ill health made it difficult in the last few years.

Kind regards,  Friends of Nomi – Karolina, Clair, Jenny, Anne, & Jane

We both remember Nomi well and have missed her in recent years.  She was always a joyful person to have out on a ramble.  With a beautiful melodic voice which she utilised telling stories to children.  There was also her love of hats, every ramble she would turn up with a different hat on. Once Linda remembers purchasing a hat which she never got around to wearing so she gave it to Nomi who loved and appreciated it far more.

There was the time her all terrain mobility scooter developed a fault, unrepairable in the field, whilst on the Hayling Billy Line.  Linda was able to call Peter, who was at home, so he drove our adapted Iveco truck to the breakdown point where it was loaded. Then Peter took both Nomi and scooter to Beamers, later bringing her back to her car.

Nomi was such a lovely kind person that you just wanted to help her and we were so glad to have an opportunity to do that. She remains in our thoughts, RIP Nomi. Linda & Peter

Nomi Adler – what a lovely person she was – always smiling despite her many difficulties.

Nomi was always aware of someone in trouble on a Ramble and helped out if possible.

The world could do with more people like Nomi! Brenda & Keith Harris
