We have been notified by Tramper of a couple of instances lately of people trying to buy Trampers from Facebook Marketplace. The adverts have been copied from genuine adverts of Trampers, so all the details, for example, the serial number etc. are all correct. When the buyer has contacted the alleged owner, they had been asked for a deposit to secure the scooter. Unfortunately, this is a scam and although it is a genuine address, the police have investigated and it is not the people involved.
If you are looking to buy a Tramper or any other scooter, please DO NOT hand over any money until you’ve physically seen it. Even if it means, potentially you don’t get the particular scooter. If you are looking to buy a Tramper, the people at Tramper are happy to discuss any second-hand scooter with you. Also, if you ever sell your scooter, please let Tramper have the details of who you sold too. This way it keeps their records up to date.
