– AbilityNet offers free computer help to disabled people.
– ABLEize maintains lists of UK Disabled Rambling Clubs and much more. ABLEize is a UK disability resource directory offering, perhaps, the biggest collection of disability, mobility and health resources in the UK and Europe.
– Accessible Countryside for Everyone (ACE) provides information and promote accessibility to leisure in the countryside of England – primarily aimed at those with mobility issues, there carers and families.
– Accessible Nature UK is created by Peter Lau (himself a T6 paraplegic and full time wheelchair user since April 2014). Peter has provided, free of charge to download, a list of more than 50 route guides from this website.
– The Access the Outdoors Guide includes over 100 routes throughout the UK that have been mapped and tested by the Access TOG team at The Outdoor Guide.
– Birding For All seeks to improve access for people with disabilities to reserves, facilities and services for birding – membership is FREE and open to all regardless of physical ability.
– British Heart Foundation has shared 11 tips for going on holiday with a heart condition as well as additional information about holidays and travel, such as travel insurance.
– Disability Grants is a website listing numerous organisations offering grants to the disabled individuals and their carers.
– David Winwood is an artist who is disabled. His website describes some of his rambles on his mobility scooter in South Wales.
– Disabled Access on Exmoor works towards making Exmoor accessible to disabled people.
– Free Spirit Travel offers senior travel insurance and has produced a set of guides for all seniors with any medical condition. They also have condition specific guides, such as for people with heart conditions and cancer patients. Additional information available includes what people need to know before they plan their next trip abroad.
– FastFitClothing specialises in waterproof wheelchair clothing and is designed specially by a Tetraplegic wheelchair user.
– Inclusive Norwich works to improve access in the area of Norfolk. They offer a range of services, including advocacy, accessibility audits, and general advice.
– Insurancewith has provided guide to travelling with a medical condition.
– Lily is a service from the Borough Council of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk to help tackle loneliness and social isolation. The directory brings together information about a wide range of services, activities, advice and guidance.
– MS Mutual Support exists for serving and ex-Serving members of the Armed Forces and Reserves affected by multiple sclerosis (MS) as well as their dependants and carers.
– Open Country is a Harrogate-based disability charity that helps people with disabilities to access the countryside.
– Research Institute for Disabled Consumers (RiDC) conducts research for older and disabled people, and produces information and reviews, such as guides to scooter and car choice.
– Tourism For All (TFA) UK is a small independent national charity working to improve accessibility in the tourism, travel and leisure industry in the UK.
– Trainline offers a 1/3 off on train tickets for disable people and one accompanying adult family member, carer or friend with the Disabled Persons Railcard.
– Whitby, Scarborough and Ryedale Disability Action Group provides 4-wheeler mobility scooters and different wheel chairs for hire as well as a range of other services.
