Although they were not able to attend on the day due to illness Dorothy & Tony Dickens had prepared & surveyed this route. Robin had provided plenty of helpful signs to get us to the start. While traveling up to the higher slopes we felt the warm wind & sunshine & admired the beautiful views but were pleased to reach the sheltered lunch stop by a bridge over a small stream at the bottom of a small valley. The toilet tent is a huge benefit (see photo ). The climb out of the valley was a real challenge but plenty of walkers were available in support to help us up the steep track, and soon we found ourselves on the line of an old railway which had been transformed into a wonderful wild flower garden. A great way to end a most enjoyable ramble. Many thanks to Tony & Dorothy.
