Lovely looking at the photos, it really brings back the atmosphere of the day. The herd of ponies at the start was a very typical New Forest scene, we are so lucky to have them roaming across the area. The views across Hampton Ridge are stunning and the lunch stop at Abbotswell is equally scenic, you have a beautiful view of the forest landscape from the hill. Apart from one of our group being overcome by the heat, it was a great day, but happy to say that that member got home safely and is now feeling fine again. Great ramble, but it’s my patch so I am a bit prejudiced!
