This ramble ended the Southern Tour. I thoroughly enjoyed the 8 days they covered and am very grateful to all the guides i.e. Juliet, Sonia, Peter, all the Rangers i.e. Dave, Jim, Jon, all the team of DR involved in the loo etc. the volunteers, walkers and helpers who do the road marshalling and anything else they are asked to, John B who is always there to help at the beginning, middle and end, and anyone else I have forgotten to mention – apologies!!! Everyone’s help is invaluable and much needed as without it these rambles couldn’t take place. Very enjoyable, the rain was a shame but from the comments I have received it didn’t spoil anyone’s enjoyment of the beautiful Savernake Forest and all have said how much they enjoyed it. Thanks all for coming. Rgds, Val.

Thanks again Val for a most enjoyable ramble. Good job we delayed lunch to sample the best of the weather & we are not holding you responsible for the long spell of rain at the end of the afternoon!!

We hadn’t realized that the forest was so extensive or so full of very large old trees. We hope everyone got home without getting too wet!

Thank you Val and guide for this ramble. Absolutely magnificent trees, really impressive. I love trees and wish I could live here amongst them. Pity about the rain in afternoon but a lovely ramble all the same.
